Knoll Saarinen Marble Top Coffee Table

An ICONIC mid-century modern tulip coffee table designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll. Gorgeous round Arabescato marble top with an aluminum painted base, made in Italy. The tabletop features a beveled edge and is attached to the base with a threaded rod. Saarinen sought the essential idea and reduced it to the most effective structural solution. One of the most exemplary examples of which is the one-legged design of his Pedestal Collection. These pieces came from his desire to eliminate the confusion caused by “the slum of legs” underneath typical chairs and tables.
