In the mid-1950s, designer and landscape architect Isamu Noguchi began experimenting with aluminum, a material that had become fashionable in interior design. In 1957, he conceived the Prismatic Side table, a design composed of three folded pieces of aluminum fastened together to create a hexagonal top that transitions into three legs. The table was purchased at Design Within Reach.
